Beyond the 'Dreaded question' | Rebekah Clark | TEDxKingAlfredSchool
Rebekah, our founder, explores personal experiences with identity, race, belonging and adoption. She shares some of the experiences of her childhood, which saw her often asked ‘Where are you from?’, and without an easy answer it soon became the ‘dreaded question’. Here, in her first TEDx talk, Rebekah describes her journey to eventually moving past it, recognising the power of owning our own stories, and how in doing so we can operate from a place of self-acceptance, and self-love.
This talk was given at a TEDx event in London using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
